Fairfield fundraiser targets youth programs

Fairfield Gonzales Gala Fundraiser set for April 11

The Fairfield Gonzales Community Association is hosting a fundraiser at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria on April 11.

The group will have live local jazz music as well as a silent action at the Fairfield Gonzales Gala Fundraiser.

“We target the money raised for our youth programs and family programs because those are the most underfunded,” said Vanya McDonell, Fairfield Gonzales Community Association member.

This year’s fundraiser has an extra special touch. It’s the associations 40th year.

“One board member said we are the best kept secret in Victoria,” said McDonell.

More than 20,000 people are provided with programming annually.

The Fairfield Gonzales Gala Fundraiser goes from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m
