While books can make great Christmas gifts, Greater Victoria Public Library Central Branch librarian Cheryl Landry offers a couple of winter-themed children’s book titles, along with a variety of adult-oriented books in the branch’s Fast Reads section as options for holiday reading. Greater Victoria librarians suggest books for those on your holiday gift list

Greater Victoria Public Library branches have a wide selection for borrowers, too

The ideal holiday gift must be personalized and thoughtful; it should show how much you care; and it should “keep on giving.” There is no better gift that fits the bill than a book.

English author Neil Gaiman said it best: “Books make great gifts because they have whole worlds inside of them. And it’s much cheaper to buy somebody a book than it is to buy them the whole world!”
