The famous Hanson Brothers will face off against Victoria police officers for a charity hockey game.
The stars of the Slap Shot movie franchise will lace up to play with the Victoria Police Hockey Team and the Nanaimo Law Enforcement Hockey Team when the two sides duke it out at the Battle of the Badges.
The game will be overseen by well-known former NHL referee Kerry Fraser.
The local game featuring the VicPD officers is Sept. 23 at the Archie Browning Sports Centre arena, 1151 Esquimalt Rd.
The puck drops at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 or $45 for a family of four. Proceeds go to the Victoria Police Athletic Association.
