To celebrate a community of women on International Women's Day, Bridges for Women Society will host a luncheon featuring B.C. watchdog for children and youth, Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond.

The buffet lunch happens Tuesday (March 8) at St. John's Hall, 925 Balmoral Rd. Registration starts at 11 a.m., lunch is at 11:45 a.m. Tickets are $50 and can be reserved by e-mailing laurie@bridgesforwomen.ca or calling 250-385-7410.
