Black Press and Staples, in partnership with Camosun College, are proud to recognize some of the great teachers found here in the Capital Region. We asked our readers to nominate teachers who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of the students they teach.

Kathryn Harcourt is a teacher at S.J. Willis Continuing Education. Here is what nominator Julie Anderson said about her:

“Kathryn is an amazing woman, full of knowledge and a real go-getter. She has been a counsellor for many years and helped guide students through thick and thin to achieve heights that would almost never be achieved otherwise. If you have been a student with Kathryn to guide you, YOU are a very fortunate person. She most certainly deserves credit for her many, many years of excellent service.”

Look for our Great Teachers special section running in the Victoria News on June 21, where we will recognize the three teachers selected as this year’s representatives as well as list all of the Victoria and Esquimalt nominees.
