Crystal Pool public update

The City of Victoria is holding two info sessions to keep the community updated, and participating in the Crystal Pool and Wellness Centre replacement project. Hear an update and view designs at Crystal Garden, Feb. 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. RSVP at Victoria.ca.

Urban specialist talks crime, safety

Lunch Time Lectures at City Hall continue Monday, March 5 at 1 p.m. Steve Woolrich of Rethink Urban will present Creating Safe and Compelling Environments: Is It Possible? to discuss community safety and crime reduction in North American cities. Block party primer coming up

Celebrate with music, food, ideas and inspiration at the My Great Neighbourhood Block Party, March 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Leonardo Da Vinci Italian Centre (195 Bay St.). City of Victoria reps will be on hand to provide everything you need to know about how to apply for neighbourhood grants, and guest speaker will be Paul Born, CEO of the Tamarack Institute. Photo show kicks off Friday

The atrium of the Esquimalt Rec Centre will be transformed as the annual Spring Photo Show returns on March 2. The exhibit runs until the end of the month, when a community contest will choose the favourite image on display from a talented group of artists.
