For creative garden lovers, this weekend’s 31st annual Mother’s Day Garden Tour may be just the ticket to finding new ideas.
The event, on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is a fundraiser for the Victoria Conservatory of Music. As such, musicians will be performing on site at most of the 10 locations, which include eight private homes and two public gardens.
The sites span from James Bay and Oak Bay, including the Uplands, and North Saanich. The fundraiser weekend also features a plant sale and silent auction at one of the homes on the tour.
A description of each of the gardens, as well as tickets, are available at vcm.bc.ca/victoria-garden-tour. Tickets are $30 and are available at all Thrifty Foods stores, most gardening stores and the conservatory office, 900 Johnson St.
