Restorative justice group shares good news stories

Inside the gates of William Head Institution, a group of people weekly meet to discuss understanding, healing and hope after crimes are committed.

The group is the Restorative Justice Coalition, made up of police, criminal justice professionals and correctional systems employees.

The coalition’s co-founder, David Hough, will do a free public talk called Restorative Justice Behind Bars on May 25, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, 1151 Esquimalt Rd.

It features good news stories about healing behind bars. Registration is not required.
