Robots battle in Greater Victoria

Teams from around Canada and the U.S. put their robotics acumen to the test at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Arena

If you ever wanted duel robots, this was the place to be.

The Save-on-Foods Memorial Arena played host to the the First Robotics Competition where hundreds of youth from across the country and the U.S. locked robotics on the floor of Victoria’s biggest arena.

The competition paired students with mentors to compete in timed matches where their hand-made robots performed specific tasks against a field of competitors in an event combing sport, science and technology.
