The tours of Ross Bay Villa have been so successful that they will be conducted weekly this fall.
Visitors are welcome at 2 p.m. every Saturday through November, for a guided one-hour tour of the newly restored 1865 house and garden.
The garden comprises of flowers, plants and vegetables only available to Victorians during the 1860s.
On the brink of demolition, the house was rescued by The Land Conservancy of B.C. in 1999. It has been restored over the last 13 years by a team of volunteers, with hand-made wallpapers, floor-coverings and meticulous wood-graining.
Tours are free, but donations are encouraged.
Ross Bay Villa is located at 1490 Fairfield Rd.
