Arthur Milnes, commissioner of the Sir John A. Macdonald Bicentennial Commission, is the featured speaker at the Canadian Club luncheon on May 20, at the Coast Harbourside Hotel.
The commission is encouraging Canadians to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Canada’s Father of Confederation in 2015.
Milnes will provide the audience with a preview of activities planned for the bicentennial, encourage cities and local municipalities to celebrate the event, and deliver an address on the The Role of Sir John A. Macdonald in Canadian History.
The luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m.
