Stunning image tops more than 600 entries in Black Press Media contest

Winners announced for the 2020 calendar photo

A pair of photographers scored big in the Victoria News calendar contest.

After perusing more than 600 entries, Gabor Dosa was named the grand prize winner for a stunning shot of the B.C. Legislative Assembly.

Dosa won a $250 at Red Barn Markets and two passes for Sidney Whale Watching.

Monty Beane’s image from Sooke earned a win for the random draw.

Beane won a $50 gift card for Red Barn Markets and $50 at Peppers Foods.

Among the 600-plus entries, 12 were also selected for the Black Press Media 2020 calendar.
