Thousands crowded Beacon Avenue Sunday to watch the 2019 edition of the Sidney Sparkles Christmas Parade hosted by the Peninsula Celebrations Society. The route ran down Beacon Avenue after starting on Resthaven Drive, then turned right on Second Street, ending at Ocean Avenue.

A parade of lighted boats along Sidney’s waterfront followed.
