Top choir performs at Christ Church Cathedral

The Gig Harbour High School Choirs hit stage for noon-hour concert Friday

One of the top choral groups in Washington State will perform at Christ Church Cathedral in a noon hour concert this Friday (April 11) as part of the church’s new Open Doors visiting choirs concert series.

The Gig Harbour High School Choirs include the mixed voice Meistersingers and its new select women’s choir, Bella Voce.

The 82-singer group stops in Victoria on its way to the Vancouver Kiwanis Choral Festival.

The groups have performed at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, St. Patrick’s in New York, the Notre Dame in Paris and Lincoln and Kennedy Centres in the U.S.

Over the past several years, Langford’s Belmont High and Gig Harbour have given each other strong mutual support, having completed three exchanges.

Admission to the concert is by donation, with all proceeds going towards the Cathedral’s Mission and Outreach and Music Ministry programs.
