Local charity organization has lofty goal for filling backpacks

The Salvation Army is hoping for donations to help fill 5,000 backpacks with back-to-school supplies for this fall.

Supplies are being accepted at all Starbucks locations. Plus, monetary donations can be made at Staples, or $5 donations can be texted to givebc45678.

Families needing supplies can submit their names by phone at 250-386-8521 or stopping by the family services centre at 2695 Quadra St.
