The lobby of the Fairmont Empress Hotel is once again lit up with cheer as local businesses and organizations compete for the best Christmas tree to benefit B.C. Children’s Hospital.
The Victoria Festival of Trees features nearly 80 trees that range from beautiful to bizarre, with the public voting for their favourite tree in exchange for a small donation between now and Jan. 7.
Last year’s event raised more than $122,000 with 13,000 votes cast.
