Victoria stumbles in Earth Hour attempt

Victoria cut its energy use by just 0.93 per cent over Earth Hour Saturday night – the lowest saving yet.

Esquimalt outdid Victoria, logging a savings of 2.25 per cent during Earth Hour, 8:30-9:30 p.m.

Provincewide energy savings were 1.8 per cent.

Earth Hour is an annual event, organized by the World Wildlife Fund, to show that the world can and should reduce its energy consumption.  It was started in 2007.
