Greater Victoria Green Team is looking for volunteers to participates in invasive plant removals, planting native species, and cleaning up shorelines in municipal, regional, and provincial parks, as well as non-profit educational farms.

Thrifty Foods Sendial program is looking for volunteers to take (by phone) and assemble food orders at one of their many Victoria locations in support of community members who are unable to shop-in-store themselves.  Shifts are once a week for three to four hours.

Fairfield Gonzales Community Association is seeking a new board member. Help support programs that serve 20,000 users annually. Experience in governance, fund development, succession planning, or non-profit management an asset. Must live in the FGCA catchment area.

Threshold Housing Society requires a PHP programmer with experience in WordPress to update the society’s website. Graphics experience a plus.

Swan Lake/Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary is looking for an enthusiastic musician or entertainer willing to donate an hour or so of their time for an event scheduled for Nov. 23.

Volunteer Victoria is looking for a media copywriter to format volunteer column ads for print, TV, and Twitter. Strong writing skills are required. Computer skills are an asset. Long-term commitment is preferred.

City of Victoria Youth Council is recruiting for its 2014-15 council. Must be 14 to 24 years old. Commitment is one to two meetings a month for a minimum of one year. Training provided.

Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association is in need of volunteers with a basic understanding of horseback riding equipment to help out in their newly opened second-hand tack store.
