The 29th annual Fired Up! Salt of the Earth – Vessels for Tasteful Living exhibition celebrates the history of a 500-year old salt-firing method

The 29th annual Fired Up! Salt of the Earth – Vessels for Tasteful Living exhibition celebrates the history of a 500-year old salt-firing method, its process and function in ceramics.

The show takes place May 24 to 26 with an opening reception May 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Metchosin Hall, 4401 William Head Rd. Eclectic Gallery, 2170 Oak Bay Ave., hosts a preview show in which 10 core members of Fired Up! showcase original  pieces.

Artists Mary Fox, Walter Dexter, Judy Weeden and others join in this celebration of pottery. The preview continues through May 25. For more information go to firedup.ca.
