Genie award-winning filmmaker Velcrow Ripper has an unusual funding source for producing his next film: you.
Ripper is test screening the last of his trilogy of films, Evolve Love, at the Vic Theatre, 808 Douglas St., on Monday, May 23 at 7 p.m.
Ripper produced two previous films, Scared Sacred in 2004 and Fierce Light in 2009. Ripper’s films focus on finding hope through action in difficult times.
The screening includes a question-and-answer session.
