Indian singer taking the stage at UVic

A highly regarded vocalist of North Indian classical music performs Wednesday, May 4 at the University of Victoria.

Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar has showcased his vocal talents in many countries, produced more than 60 solo albums and recorded songs for the Indian film industry. At the upcoming concert he will be joined by Rohit Mujumdar on the tabla and Tanmay Deochake on the harmonium.

Concert time is 7:30 p.m. in the David Lam Auditorium in the MacLaurin Building. Tickets are $15, or $10 for students, available at Munro’s Books or at the door.
