Ugandan singer Kinobe, whose work was featured in the film The Last King of Scotland, will perform in two upcoming shows in Victoria.
Kinobe sings with a variety of African percussion instruments such as the 21-string harp-lute kora and the kalimba or thumb-piano.
He performs with the Gettin’ Higher Choir, 7:30 p.m., June 10 and 11 at Alix Goolden Hall, 907 Pandora Ave. Tickets, $15/$20 are available at the door as well as from Munro’s, Ivy’s Books, James Bay Coffee and Books and Dig This in Broadmead Village.
