Cuban beats are coming to the Church of the Advent’s Jazz Vespers on Sunday (March 16).
Afro Cuban All Stars alumnus and trumpet virtuoso, Miguelito Valdes, will be joined by conga player Hector Mejias and pianist Cynthia Rodriquez, both also from Cuba.
The trio will play modern music bred from the strong traditions of Cuban music.
The music kicks off at 7 p.m. at 510 Mount View Ave.
Admission to the performance is by freewill offering to the church.
