Lovers of great food and wine will converge in Parksville next month for a four day festival of the finest flavours.
Parksville Uncorked, the region's premier wine and culinary event, showcases fine wines and craft beers from around the province and pairs them with gourmet cuisine prepared by some of the Island's top chefs Feb. 20 - 23 at Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort and The Beach Club Resort.
Parksville Untapped kicks off the festival on Feb. 20 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at The Beach Club Resort, when beer lovers will tip back some of B.C.’s best craft beers and ciders paired with delicious local eats. Swirl the signature gala event, showcases some of the finest offerings from more than 50 B.C. wineries, alongside gourmet cuisine Feb. 21 from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at the Tigh-Na-Mara.
Two winemakers’ dinners take the spotlight on Feb. 22. Tigh-Na-Mara’s executive chef Eric Edwards and his culinary team will treat gourmands to a meal paired with Road 13 wines, while The Beach Club Resort’s pacific prime executive chef Rick Davidson will be at the helm of a foodie experience paired with Burrowing Owl Estate wines.
The festival wraps up with Bubbles & Brunch at Tigh-Na-Mara on Feb. 23 from 7:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Variety Children’s Charity and the Rotary Club of Parksville have been named this year's event beneficiaries.
