You know there are those days, where you have the whole thing planned out, but then something makes the news or happens or is released, and it just completely takes over whatever you were about to do or planning to finish?

Well, the trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode VII) was released on Friday.

Forget trying to focus on work today. Cancel whatever travel plans you had for December, 2015. This is suddenly all that matters.

Unfinished Business

In 2005, Vince Vaughn crashed weddings. He was the young guy then.

In 2013, Vince Vaughn crashed Google. He wasn't the young guy anymore, and the film spent a considerable amount of time both reminding you of that and then getting him to succeed in spite of it.

In 2015, Vince Vaughn will crash Europe. And he's back in the middle now, in between a younger partner Dave Franco and an older employee Tom Wilkinson, fighting the odds and Sienna Miller.

Pan

Don't think you can ever re-tell this story too many times. No matter how many new casts you attach to it or how many spin-offs you write, people are into it.

Next year, we'll have a prequel – with Levi Miller as Peter Pan, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily, Amanda Seyfried as Mary, Garrett Hedlund as Hook, and Hugh Jackman as the pirate villain Blackbeard.
