Victoria Chinese Community Association rings in new year with gala

The Victoria Chinese Community Association is ringing in the Chinese New Year with a gala.

The traditional program to celebrate Chinese New Year has a near-decade history in Victoria. More than a thousand local residents, including Chinese families and students, will celebrate the Chinese New Year with music, dance, songs, comedy and drama highlighting the spectacular event.

The show is the largest Chinese New Year festival in the local community. It will feature modern and traditional performances by Chinese community artists, groups, societies and individuals.

The event is Feb. 4 at the University of Victoria Farquhar Auditorium. Tickets are $15 available at 250-721-8480 and tickets.uvic.ca.
