Vox Humana recalls ship’s fateful journey

Victoria choir's concert has a maritime theme

This Wednesday (Sept. 28), Victoria chamber choir Vox Humana presents “MS Estonia Remembered.”

It’s a musical tribute to the ship that sunk in the Baltic Sea and the 852 passengers and crew who perished in the disaster seven years ago to this day.

The concert features the music of Estonian composer Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, including the piece “Canticum Calamitatis Maritimae” (Song of Maritime Calamity).

Start time is 7:30 p.m. at the Maritime Museum of B.C., 28 Bastion Sq.
