Central Saanich fire causes ‘extensive damage’ to home

All three Saanich Peninsula fire departments responded to a structure fire on Beach View Court Tuesday morning shortly before 10 a.m.

Central Saanich Fire arrived in about eight minutes and found flames from two bedroom windows.

Sidney and North Saanich volunteer fire departments were also on scene with one apparatus each. The house was unoccupied at the time so no injuries were reported.

Central Saanich Assistant Fire Chief John Robertson said there is “extensive damage to the house” and the cause is still under investigation.
