Charity calendar to help super kids with special needs

Help Fill A Dream event at Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre Saturday

SIDNEY —Eleven little superheroes will get their day in the sun with the release of a special calendar, which will raise money for kids with special needs.

The Superheroes of Victoria selected 11 special children battling illness, chronic pain or other health challenges and fitted them with a custom superhero costume for a photo shoot and a page in the calendar just for them.

On Saturday, December 2 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., each of the 11 kids will get a poster of their special photo on stage at the Mary Winspear Centre.

Each calendar is $14.95, and 100 per cent of the proceeds go to Help Fill A Dream, which assists children with special needs and their families.

The event will also feature a photo booth, treats, on-stage surprises, and a screening of Lego Batman after the event.
