Saanich police say they have located a 12-year-old last seen Monday, March 3 around 3:20 p.m. in the Cedar Hill area.

As per recent protocols, officers do not share last names of individuals who are the subject of missing person releases unless there is an investigative reason to do so.

“The impact of having a full name published can last forever, and to ensure the well-being of the missing and their family, we will only be releasing an individual’s first name, a description, and a photo,” Saanich police said in the latest release. “This decision was made with the privacy of the individuals and their families in mind.”
