For the 65th year, the Saanich Peninsula Arts and Crafts Society (SPAC) presents its annual Spring Art Show and Sale later this month.

More than 350 local artists will be showcasing their creative works in everything from paintings and mixed media, to sculpture, jewellery and and fibre arts. SPAC says more than 500 pieces of art will be on display during the show, which takes place April 28 and 29 at Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre.

The show will also include works by some of SPAC’s founding members, to help commemorate their 65th anniversary.

There will be live demonstrations and a gift shop, and all artwork at the event is for sale. SPAC Art Patrons will have a special reception the night before the show starts, offering the first chance to view each work, enjoy some wine, music and food, and get the chance to buy something they like - all before the doors officially open. People can become Art Patrons by purchasing tickets at www.eventbrite.ca.

On Sat., April 28, the show opens at 10 a.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. There will be a wine tasting from 6 to closing.

The show opens on Sun., April 29 at 10 a.m. and closes at 4:30 p.m.

Entrance to the event is $5 and is good for both days.
