Advance voting starts Saturday

There will be six days of advance voting prior to B.C.’s general election day on May 9

For those eager to make their ballot count, advance voting starts Saturday.

There are six days of advance voting leading up to the May 9 provincial general election.

Advance voting is available on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30, and Wednesday, May 3 through Saturday, May 6.

While advance voting places are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., not all locations are open every day of the advance voting period.

A telephone voting option is also available for B.C. residents with vision loss or who have a disability that restricts their ability to vote independently.

Voters who choose to vote by telephone can call 1-800-661-8683 from noon to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday and will be assisted by an operator throughout the process.

On May 9, polls will be open across the province from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
