Benn brothers tee off to support Power to Be

Victoria Golf Course hosts 11th annula Power to Golf

Victoria Golf Club in Oak Bay hosts the 11th annual Power To Golf in support of Power To Be on June 15.

The golf event is followed by a private reception. Members of the business and sports community from Victoria, Vancouver and as far afield as New York and Dallas come together in support of Power To Be to reach its fundraising goal of $350,000. To date, the event has raised more than $1 million in support of inclusive adventures rooted in nature.

Guest golfers include NHL brothers, who hail from Greater Victoria, Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars and Jordie Benn of the Montreal Canadiens.

Power To Be is a non-profit organization that empowers people to explore their limitless abilities through inclusive adventures rooted in nature. Founded in 1998, programs are offered in Victoria and Vancouver through two program streams. Adaptive Recreation is a response to the community need for inclusive, nature-based recreation for people living with a disability or barrier. Wilderness School is a multi-year program for youth that fosters leadership, positive social development and life skills through outdoor adventure activities.
