Free online workshops aimed at supporting local businesses impacted by the pandemic are coming soon.

Provided by the District of Central Saanich, the workshops begin Jan. 20 and the first topic to be discussed is employee recruitment and retention from 7 to 8 p.m.

Ginger Brunner, an HR specialist, will lead the first presentation by discussing the impact that COVID-19 has had on expectations in the workplace.

Brunner will also guide workshop attendees regarding job postings and how to adjust them, and the role of training in employee engagement.

Recruiting and retaining employees are the most common issues the district has heard that businesses have been struggling with, said Central Saanich Mayor Ryan Windsor.

“The workshop series is the opportunity for the district to connect businesses with resource information and collaboration on a variety of topics,” Windsor added.

To register for this event, visit the district’s website at centralsaanich.ca.
