City crews assemble iconic Victoria flowering baskets in parks department nursery

It’s always busy at the City of Victoria Parks Department nursery in Beacon Hill Park but crews are especially busy these days as they assemble the roughly 1500 flowering baskets that the city places on downtown lamp posts. The park’s gardeners put together two types of baskets, one that thrives in the sun and a another for plants that prefer the shade. City crews will be hanging the baskets the second week in June.
