Work to replace and upgrade a water main along Belleville Street will continue for the next several weeks.
The city is upgrading the cast iron water supply mains from Menzies to Oswego streets that were constructed more than 60 years ago. Construction began on Monday and will last approximately 12 weeks. Some parking restrictions and temporary road closures will be required at times. The public is encouraged to use alternative routes when possible.
The upgrades are the first step in the “complete streets” improvements planned for Belleville Street this year.
