The deadline for law enforcement agencies to submit proposals to police Esquimalt has been extended.
The original deadline was April 20, but was moved to May 4 because of Esquimalt’s policing advisory board members’ availability, said Mayor Barb Desjardins.
Esquimalt has been policed by VicPD since 2003, but recently sent out requests for proposals to Saanich police and B.C. RCMP.
Saanich last week declined to submit a proposal.
