A fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon in a downtown Victoria restaurant caused an estimated $250,000 in damage.

Fire crews were called to Saint Franks restaurant on Broad Street at around 4 p.m. to find heavy smoke at the front of the restaurant. Crews were able to extinguish the fire right away and remained on scene to ventilate resilient smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
