Seven adults and two children were forced from their home Monday night after a fire broke out inside a North Park apartment complex.
Firefighters were called to a building at 1039 Caledonia Ave. at around 9:15 p.m. and found flames coming from a first floor suite. Initial 911 calls reported a bed in the unit was on fire.
Crews managed to keep the flames to the suite the blaze was sparked, but the suite was heavily damaged. The investigation continues but damage is pegged at $150,000.
