Five taggers nabbed by police

Graffiti taggers arrested in Victoria

Victoria police say they caught the city’s two worst taggers, responsible for thousands of dollars in damage to the region every year.

A 26-year-old Saanich man and a 23-year-old Salt Spring Island man were arrested at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday in the 800-block of Fort Street when they were caught spray-painting a building. They both face mischief charges. Police declined to say with which tags the men are associated.

Also that morning, police arrested two teens in the 500-block of Belleville Street for tagging bus shelters and a fifth man, age 25, tagging a building in the 300-block of Waterfront Crescent.
