Horgan taps young guard to co-chair leadership campaign

Juan de Fuca MLA looks to Eby and Mungall to guide him through race

Juan de Fuca MLA John Horgan announced the co-chairs for his campaign to win the leadership of the B.C. New Democratic party this week.

NDP MLAs David Eby, who defeated Premier Christy Clark in her riding of Vancouver-Point Grey last year, and Michelle Mungall, representative for Nelson-Creston, will guide the 54-year-old Horgan’s campaign through to September, when the NDP caucus elects their new leader.

Eby and Mungall are considered among the young guard Horgan previously hoped would step into the leadership race before he announced this week that he would try again for the top job.
