Inferno suffers second fire in Langford

West Shore RCMP and Langford Fire Rescue responded to a call Oct. 19 at 5 a.m.

A second fire sparks at Inferno Chophouse and Bar.

West Shore RCMP and Langford Fire Rescue responded to a call Oct. 19 at 5 a.m.

The business was closed at the time of the fire. It was under renovations due to damage from a previous fire in August.  That fire was deemed suspicious and is still under investigation.

The renovations will remain on track and Inferno will re-open as scheduled for Nov. 1.

The Oct. 19 fire was detected by the fire alarm and motion detectors in the building on McCallum Road.

"It appears the fire started in an area housing uniforms and rags," said Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz, West Shore RCMP spokesperson.

At this time the fire is deemed accidental and not suspicious.
