Jamie Cassels installed as new UVic president

Professor Jamie Cassels was installed as the new president of the university of Victoria (UVic) during fall convocation ceremonies.

University of Victoria professor Jamie Cassels became the seventh president of UVIC following an installation held during the fall convocation ceremonies in the Farquhar Auditorium Monday morning. The Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of BC, administered Cassels’ oath of office and then two members of the Board of Governors robed Cassels in his official academic regalia.

There were two convocation ceremonies Monday, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
