Five fire trucks and 16 firefighters responded from two fire stations after a fire alarm came in around 3:20 a.m. from the Portland Hotel Society-operated facility. Staff at the building had put the fire out by the time crews arrived, preventing any further damage.

The person involved was not injured or displaced, according to VFD.
