Victoria residents who don’t compost their leaves in their own yard have a one-chance opportunity to have the city haul them away for free.

Monday (Nov. 14) marks the deadline to have leaves bagged in biodegradable bags and piled at the curb. Pick up may occur anytime between this date and early January.

There’s also an option to call the city for pick up. From now until Dec. 16, residents can call 250-361-0600 to arrange pickup within three to five working days.

Do not pile leaves on the sidewalk. No other yard debris is accepted.
