A giant light-up heart appeared on Mount Finlayson on New Year’s Eve, shining down on the West Shore.
While it will only be lit until 1 a.m. on New Year’s Day, organizers said the display is meant to show support for essential health-care workers hit hard during the pandemic.
The heart, said to be around five metres wide, follows the Christmas tree the organizers put up every Christmas Eve.
Those looking to get a view of the heart while it is up are encouraged to head up to Bear Mountain to get the best view before its 1 a.m. takedown.
