Man missing 1 year, Victoria police seek new leads

Dec. 30 marks one year since missing man Tyler Desorcy, 32, was last seen in Victoria.

Desorcy was last seen in the 800-block of Courtney Street in Victoria on Dec. 30, 2020, according to a Victoria police release.

Dubbed a high-risk missing missing person by VicPD, Desorcy is an Indigenous man with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He stands 5’9” with a heavy build and walks with a noticeable limp.

Desorcy was last seen wearing a long black jacket, a green hooded sweater with a design on the front, black sweat pants and dark running shoes.

Officers ask anyone with information about him who has not yet spoken with officers to come forward.

Anyone who sees Desorcy is asked to call 911. Anyone with information is asked to call VicPD at 250-995-7654, extension 1 or report anonymously through Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
