A memorial garden for families who’ve lost an infant or whose pregnancies ended in miscarriage or stillbirth will open Saturday at Royal Oak Burial Park.
The Little Spirits Garden is the first of its kind in Canada, and will be a dedicated place where parents and families can grieve the loss of a baby.
A Walk to Remember fundraising walk will take place before the opening from the burial park mausoleum at 11:30 a.m. to the entrance of the new garden, where an official opening ceremony will take place.
So far $112,000 has been raised for the Little Spirits Garden, which will go to providing memorial options to parents at little or no cost.
Royal Oak Burial Park is located at 4673 Falaise Dr.
