About one tonne of Scotch broom was removed from Mill Hill today via helicopter.

For three weeks eight auxiliary Capital Regional District employees spent three weeks cutting the broom.

The helicopter arrived at the Langford park after stopping at Thetis Lake to unload containers of fuel to free up weight restrictions.

Mill Hill will have a similar broom removal program in the fall.
