A young man’s bizarre mood swings helped get him arrested for possessing drugs.

Police were chatting to a group of young people at Saxe Point Park just before midnight on July 19, when another young man came walking by.

While talking to police, the man switched between crying and being very calm. He said he had just smoked pot, but a Saanich police dog found ecstasy, cocaine and steroids in his car, which was parked nearby.

He could be charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, plus received a driving prohibition for care and control of a vehicle while on drugs.
